Structural Delights…

Millions of men have lived to fight, build palaces and boundaries, shape destinies and societies; but the compelling force of all times has been the force of originality and creation profoundly affecting the roots of human spirit.  ~ ~ Ansel Adam

Vintage buildings and old palaces are definitely worth a visit particularly if one is enthusiastic about architecture and cultural heritage. I feel it’s completely in our hands to determine that the new generation develops interest in art and architecture and a little extra effort will always helps to attract young and new travelers...

“When a structure delights with it’s architecture then it certainly is art.”

I was delighted to see what the owners of Mandvi palace wanted to convey..they did in a very fine and an easy manner. A young traveler stopping by, reading the quote with full attention and absorbing it in her conscious.

Need of the hour is to contribute towards the conservation and restoration of heritage places to make it more friendly and approachable and above all interesting for young explorers who will carry the saga ahead.

The Pink Lotus

I am Rohini and having trained as an interior stylist, I have been working in this field for a couple of years. I personally advocate an eclectic style for my home which maintains the flavour of being evergreen, nonetheless I am open to all the styles on board along with the creative beauties that I get to see. Travelling is a part and parcel of my life since childhood and I am glad as it helps me to discover new places, sometimes in a remote corner with hidden artists and some exquisite craftsmanship which I not only try to imbibe in my designs but also try to bring the artist in focus. Design and creativity gives me a sense of constant evolution. Penning my thoughts on travel, life, art, interior design and good workmanship, as and when they appear on my canvas. The Pink Lotus is a blog where I write about home styling, travel encounters and life memories or experiences...Welcome aboard!
